🟣A bruit has a unique sound that you want to be familiar with as a nurse. The reason you want to be familiar with this sound is because you will be assessing for them during your head-to-toe nursing assessment. (Tip: The bell of the stethoscope is the best for assessing them.) 🟣A bruit is a blowing, swooshing noise found in a vascular structure (ex: artery) that can arise for stenosis or partial obstruction of that vessel. In an abdominal assessment you will be listening at various points on t
