A beautiful summer’s day at the magnificent Crathes Castle, Garden & Estate NTS. Crathes Castle Estate was once part of the Royal Forest of Drum, a tower house standing against a backdrop of rolling hills and set within its own glorious gardens. The sculptural yew hedges are thought to have been planted as early as 1702. Alexander Burnett built the castle in 1596.
