Open for a day. Closed by the next. After ten years, the Apostle Islands Ice Caves finally aligned with the right conditions. We stepped onto frozen Lake Superior and watched the sun light up towering sandstone cliffs, snow packed walls, and incredible ice formations shaped by wind and waves.
