Just listen to the many different hoots & calls tawny owls can make 🎺 This is Ozzy calling to his partner Bonnie 🦉from their nest in Ash Wood. He makes a gentle 'ocarina' sound which comes from deep within his throat. But in the background you can hear Bonnie respond with a snappier 'kew-week' and Ozzy responds with a similar sound before flying off to find out what the fuss is all about, hooting as he goes. A little tawney owlet 🥺🥰 Tawny owl parents are usually monogamous, meaning they will pair for life, and fiercely defend their territory throughout the year. Around March time the female will lay 2-3 eggs in an old tree hollow, old crow nests or in a special tawney owl nest box.
