This is one of my favourite species within the Ceratophrys genus. Horned frogs are masters of ambush hunting. These animals will dig down into the substrate, sometimes with their eyes popping out, waiting patiently for unsuspecting prey to scurry on by, at which point they lunge forward and attack.
