Nine Davis School District high schools recently took to the pitch for the annual Unified Sports soccer tournament—an event that celebrates inclusion, teamwork and friendship. Students across the Davis School District recently practiced bus safety through an emergency evacuation drill. The scenario simulated a bus being rear-ended, causing the engine to catch fire. Students practiced calmly and quickly exiting the bus and getting to safety. “Leave your belongings and focus on people” said bus driver Tanya Alltop who led the drill at Sunburst Elementary school. Ellison Park Elementary students took a solemn walk to honor the selfless men and women who give everything for the greater good.
