Creating a Nobel Medal – a work of handmade precision The design of the medals vary between categories, but they all have a portrait of Alfred Nobel depicting the front side and the back side of the medal is adapted to the category. The only personalized trait with the medals is that the name of the Nobel Laureate is engraved on the medal.
