A little proprioception work with Odin to help him dial in and gain a better sense of his body and where he is in space 🐾 He has been working so hard to improve his coordination, balance, and motor skills while learning to slow down and think about his surroundings. He had a pretty good habit of kicking into four paws drive and pummeling into things, injuring himself or others in the process. Proprioception is our body’s hidden sense — the ability to feel where our body parts are and how they move. It helps us balance, coordinate, and move smoothly. Deep pressure, pushing, pulling, jumping, and hugging all stimulate proprioception. That’s why “pressure” is proprioceptive input! Deep pressure — also called “heavy work” — is one of the best ways to stimulate proprioception. When we press, push, pull, or squeeze, we give the body proprioceptive input that calms and organizes the nervous
