Besides Bulgarian split squats, I can’t think of a more well-rounded exercise for runners than Reverse Nordics 📈 They’re great for improving knee flexion/mobility, increasing eccentric strength, and for loading the quad muscles, which are lengthened during this movement (prevent tightness that can pull on the joints and ligaments in your knees). Best body weight exercises part 1: Quads #calisthenics #streetworkout #quads I didn’t include reverse nordics since they are too similar to sissy squats, but you can go with either one. Pistol squats are a great substitute for barbell squats, and sissy squats or reverse nordics simulate a leg extension. Lateral lunges are a great substitute for squats and for the adductor machine, and they complement regular squats very well.
