According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, an Audi was traveling northbound on Highway 52 at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and hit a trailer being pulled by a pickup. The driver, Charles Canteen, 35, of Hemingway was later pronounced dead at a hospital. No one else involved in the crash sustained serious injury.
