Tennis star Iga Swiatek has crashed out from the ongoing Mutua Madrid Open 2025. The world number two has suffered a defeat against Coco Gauff with a scoreline of 1-6, 1-6. The star player was not able to showcase the fight against the American star in the semi-final showdown.

On Thursday, Gauff demolished Swiatek 6-1 6-1 in the Madrid semifinal. By handling the job against the Pole - who was the defending champion at Caja Magica - the 21-year-old also opened a clear path for herself to return to the world No. 2 spot.
