The United States Senate has confirmed Chad Meredith from Lexington to serve as a judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
The Republican-led U.S. Senate on Thursday voted 48-45 in favor of Chad Meredith becoming a life-tenured judge on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky after President Donald Trump nominated him to the bench in June.
