Tropical cyclone Man-Yi has intensified into a severe tropical storm as it entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday evening at 8 p.m., the state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Typhoon Ofel (Usagi) will start bringing rain on Wednesday, November 13. Meanwhile, Man-yi may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility, possibly as a typhoon, on Thursday, November 14.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned on Thursday, Nov. 14 that Severe Tropical Storm “Pepito” (international name: Man-yi) could intensify into a super typhoon before making landfall over Central Luzon this weekend.
