After starting Tuesday morning in the middle of an East Coast road trip with the Rangers, Leody Taveras got the start Wednesday in Sacramento with the Mariners.

The Texas Rangers may see their former outfielder later this year when they cross paths with the Seattle Mariners.

The Rangers placed Taveras on outright waivers on Sunday, three MLB officials familiar with the waiver wire and process confirmed with The Dallas Morning News. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic first posted the move on X.
