People across the Lowcountry are looking for ways to support neighbors in the Upstate impacted by Hurricane Helene last week. In many areas, people are without food, water, and other essential supplies after experiencing the storm’s devastating winds and flooding.

Here are a few of the numbers we're tracking as the Upstate recovers from Helene damage. Helene's historic deluge ravaged the Southeast, killing more than 200 people, swallowing whole towns and leaving thousands without power or drinkable water a week later.

The number of deaths associated with Hurricane Helene continues to rise in South Carolina, according to state authorities. South Carolina Department of Public Safety officials reported 46 people have died in the state so far.
