OpenAI launches ChatGPT Study Mode, transforming AI from an answer engine into a Socratic tutor that guides students through problems step-by-step rather than providing direct solutions.

OpenAI has understandably pitched its new ChatGPT Study mode as a tool for students. The Socratic questioning, quizzes, memory checks, and feedback are designed to help students learn topics in ways that best suit their individual learning needs.

To find study mode in ChatGPT, simply log into ChatGPT as you normally would, click on the plus (+) icon and select the tab from the dropdown menu that says “study and learn,” and that’s it — it’s really that easy to access.
