Flash flooding from monsoonal thunderstorms inundated parts of New Mexico on Wednesday, triggering water rescues and prompting Flash Flood Warnings for several areas around burn scars, as more storms are expected to inundate the area again beginning Thursday afternoon.

At least three people, including two children, were killed and one person is missing after torrential rain triggered raging flash flooding Tuesday in a wildfire-scarred village in southern New Mexico,

After last week's flooding in parts of New Mexico, the risk will continue over burn scars and low-lying and poor drainage areas.
