U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Malaysia on Sunday to attend the annual summit of the Association of Southeast Asean Nations, or ASEAN.
The president will kick off his Asia tour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Oct. 26 where he will participate in the 47th ASEAN Summit.
Malaysia and the US also inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Critical Minerals during the ceremony. According to the White House, Malaysia has committed to refraining from banning, or imposing quotas on, exports to the US of critical minerals or rare earth elements.
