An Orange County high school junior from Newport Beach has taken an idea he came up with in 5th grade and developed technology that could save lives during wildfires.

A new wildfire was reported today at 3:46 p.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land.

There’s been a spike in interest in earthen architecture, particularly after a photo was shared on social media showing a a backyard structure that emerged from the Eaton fire intact.
