Sacramento county law enforcement partner with the California department of justice and homeland security to fight human trafficking crisis in the capital city.

The task force will combine resources from federal, state and local agencies to root out sexual and labor-related exploitation, authorities said.

New Orleans FBI Special Agent in Charge Lyonel Myrthil says the department leads a child exploitation and human trafficking task force for the city. With the Super Bowl in town, the FBI is adding their 55 field offices and state and local partners to help out.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta, Sacramento County District Attorney Thein Ho and other local leaders announced the creation of the Sacramento Regional Human Trafficking Task Force.

The Sacramento Regional Human Trafficking Task Force is being launched to combat trafficking and support survivors.
