(WASHINGTON) — The International Brotherhood of Teamsters declined Wednesday to endorse Kamala Harris or Donald Trump for president, saying neither candidate had sufficient support from the 1.3 million-member union.

Teamsters endorsed Biden over Trump in the 2020 election. For this time around, the union decided not to back any of the candidates.

Trump will be in Washington to address a “Fighting Anti-Semitism in America” evening event with Miriam Adelson, a co-owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and widow of billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who founded the Las Vegas Sands casino and was one of the Republican Party’s largest donors.

Donald Trump has maintained strong evangelical support, but grassroots groups like Evangelicals for Harris are looking to pull their fellow believers into Kamala Harris’ corner by targeting voters in swing states and offering an alternate vision of their faith. (AP video by Jessie Wardarski)

Kamala Harris has acknowledged that she must do more to win over Black male voters, amid fears that a once reliable cohort of Democratic voters is turning to Donald Trump. Harris said she did not assume that Black men would vote for her “because I am Black” but was “working to earn [their] vote” ahead of the November presidential election.
