Google has been a fierce competitor in the AI space with its Gemini assistant, which powers its chatbot and voice assistant on devices. Now, the company is infusing Gemini into Google TV to level up your home entertainment.

Google plans to incorporate its Gemini AI model into the Google TV experience later in 2025 to make interacting with your TV more intuitive and helpful.

Now with Gemini included with Google Assistant, you can use natural language and have a conversation with your Google TV without having to say “Hey Google” after each query. Y

The update marks the first time Google is bringing Gemini to third-party TV sets running its OS, such as those from Sony, Hisense and TCL.
