Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson appears to be lobbying for Shannon Sharpe’s seat on “First Take” after the Pro Football Hall of Famer was fired Wednesday by ESPN just days after settling a bombshell $50 million lawsuit in which a Jane Doe accused him of rape.

Jimalita Tillman is suing Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson for $20 million, alleging they falsely claimed she was divorcing after her viral Usher concert moment. The defamation suit, now in federal court, says the false comments aired on an April 12 podcast episode.

With Shannon Sharpe officially out at ESPN, there’s an opening on First Take, and his Nightcap partner, Chad Johnson, wants it. Andrew Marchand of The Athletic broke the news that ESPN has parted ways with Sharpe Wednesday afternoon.
