Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Sunday that a ceasefire with Russia in its more than three-year-old war was possible at any moment and called on Kyiv's allies to apply greater pressure on Moscow to put the measure in place.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the truce will run from the start of May 8 and last through the end of May 10 to mark Moscow’s defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his country is ready for an immediate cease-fire if Russia agrees to a 30-day truce. The comments come after he dismissed Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal for a 72-hour ceasefire.
