The Thai army said Cambodia had fired shots into several areas, early on Sunday (July 27), including near civilian homes, as US President Donald Trump called for a ceasefire. Residents assessed the damage to homes and vehicles in Thailand's Surin province on Sunday.
US President Donald Trump on Saturday called upon Cambodia and Thailand to put an end to the ongoing deadly border conflict, threatening them that America would not make any trade deal with them if they did not announce a ceasefire.
"The U.S. already flunked the test and that should be a wakeup call," a former senior U.S. State Department official told Newsweek.
