After beginning play over the weekend in front of The Fantastic Four: First Steps screenings, 20th Century Studios ‘ trailer for James Cameron ‘s Avatar: Fire and Ash has dropped. It’s the first look at the third installment of the franchise, and comes ahead of its planned December 19, 2025 release.

We see two new Na'vi tribes in the trailer: the Wind Traders and the Ash People clan, the latter of whom seem to represent most of the menace in the film. We see the Ash People using fire as a weapon, with one of the aliens even seeming to be able to wield it on her bare hands without hurting herself.
