The last Bengals number reported regarding an offer to Trey Hendrickson would pay him about $28 million annually. There are two problems there.

One could debate for a long time whether the Bengals will care at all about what the Steelers do with T.J. Watt or otherwise. The fact Hendrickson was permitted to seek a trade and couldn’t find one, though, continues to hint that the Bengals hold most of the leverage, regardless.

Trey Hendrickson and the Bengals have not made recent progress in contract talks, and term length is an issue between the parties. More at PFR.
