The New York Giants play host to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in a battle of teams missing multiple star players on both sides of the ball.
They allowed San Francisco to rush for 159 yards on 39 carries with two touchdowns. The main culprit was Christian McCaffrey, who ran for 106 yards on 28 carries with a score, and had five receptions for 67 yards and another score.
The New York Giants convincingly dropped their second straight game, falling 34–24 to the San Francisco 49ers at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. A couple of late touchdowns in garbage time made the final score look closer than the game actually was.
Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, playing without WR1 Malik Nabers and RB1 Cam Skattebo due to season-ending injuries, did all he could, completing 24-of-33 passes for 191 yards and two scores while adding 56 rushing yards and a score as well. Two of those scores did come in garbage time, but the Giants were fighting uphill due to a porous defense.
San Francisco 49ers WR Jauan Jennings came up big with an 11-yard touchdown on third down against the New York Giants.
