Winter weather is hitting western Pennsylvania hard, with snow, below-freezing temperatures and bitter wind chills resulting in advisories and warnings across the Pittsburgh area on Monday. The National Weather Service issued a cold weather advisory that goes into effect Monday night and will be in place through Tuesday morning.

Flood Waring for portions of Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington counties until 5:30 PM and for Armstrong and Westmoreland counties until 4:30 PM. Rising water on creeks, streams, rivers, low-lying areas, and in flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Never drive through flooded roadways.
