Former New England Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork opened up on the recent struggles surrounding the team and Mike Vrabel's ability to fix them as the new head coach. Wilfork played with Vrabel from 2004-2008,

Vrabel, who coached for six seasons in Tennessee, brought in a variety of new coaches to the Patriots. In total, four assistants on this staff have head coaching experience with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, offensive line coach Doug Marrone, tight ends coach/passing game coordinator Thomas Brown, and senior defensive assistant Ben McAdoo.

According to Greg A. Bedard of Boston Sports Journal, Todd Downing is getting hired to be the wide receivers coach for Vrabel. Notably, Downing was Vrabel's offensive coordinator in Tennesee for two years and was his tight ends coach before that.

The Patriots will not get longtime assistant Mike Pellegrino back for the 2025 season. Pellegrino was part of two Super Bowl-winning teams.
