Most recent Gallup polls from May 23 showed a 43% approval and 53% disapproval rating, reflecting 90% approval from Republicans and 4% from Democrats, in line with prior polls. Independent views of Trump, however, have changed significantly this year according to Gallup, now at 33% approval versus 46% in January.

Trump fares even worse on issues like health care and the national debt. Only 38 percent of Americans believe he is handling health care well, while 53 percent disapprove. On the national debt, a significant gap remains, with just 42 percent approving and 54 percent disapproving.
