KERRVILLE, Texas (AP) — Rescue crews in Texas kept a wary eye on river levels Monday, hoping to resume the search for people still missing from catastrophic flooding that pummeled the central part of the state earlier this month and killed at least 132 people.

Flood warnings were in effect in several areas, including ones that were devastated by the July 4 floods. By the afternoon, the rain had eased up in some parts, and some rescuers resumed their work.

As heavy rains led to heartbreaking losses at a Texas girls camp, other parts of the state were swamped over the July 4 weekend.
