Channing Tatum wants to return as Gambit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Ryan Reynolds says Marvel executives are "obsessed" with Tatum.

As Gambit said, he’s about to mak Channing Tatum’s appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine was one of the film’s biggest surprises, mostly because the actor had never played the character before. He’d tried though.

Reynolds recalled that the leaked Deadpool test footage in 2014 helped prove fan demand and ultimately green-lit the film. Similarly, he hopes Deadpool & Wolverine could be the proof Marvel needs to consider bringing back the 44-year-old as the Cajun mutant in another film.
