Lawmakers are beginning to frame their ability to prevent new maps from passing during one special legislative session as a victory. But Republicans are poised to call another.

Democrats in the Indiana General Assembly are teaming up with Texas House Democrats in an attempt to block mid-decade redistricting efforts brewing in their states.

Republican leaders announced that if they can't reach a quorum again at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, both the House and Senate will wrap up the special session.
