The PS5 Pro can boost the graphics and frame rates of PS5 games that have been enhanced for the console. However, the console can also give a modest visual boost to PS4 titles, as well.

Although not specifically advertised, it has been discovered that the PS5 Pro can boost the frame rates of some standard PS5 games, without needing an "Enhanced" patch. That's in addition to the dedicated PS4 enhancement settings.

These titles, never updated for the PS4 Pro, stand to benefit from a toggle in the new system’s menu named ‘Enhance Image Quality for PS4 Games’. While its testing is still early, Digital Foundry explains how this works.
