Flash flooding from monsoonal thunderstorms inundated parts of New Mexico on Wednesday, triggering water rescues and prompting Flash Flood Warnings for several areas around burn scars, as more storms are expected to inundate the area again beginning Thursday afternoon.

Security video from a Ruidoso, New Mexico homeowner captured the moments Wednesday's flash flood devastated their home. Wednesday’s flooding followed several wet weather days that had triggered Flash Flood Emergencies in Ruidoso during the past month.

After last week's flooding in parts of New Mexico, the risk will continue over burn scars and low-lying and poor drainage areas.
