Longtime Mexico and LAFC forward Carlos Vela has announced his retirement at age 36. Vela made the announcement on Instagram, writing: "Throughout my career, I've experienced very special moments, but the time has come to officially retire from professional soccer.
On Tuesday, Carlos Vela announced that he has retired from the game. The 36-year-old winger has most recently played for Los Angeles FC, having joined the MLS side before its inaugural season in 2018.
