NBA success continues to transpire for Kentucky men’s basketball as recently crowned NBA Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, along with Karl-Anthony Towns, were tabbed to the All-NBA teams as announced Friday night on TNT.

Chemistry is everything in the playoffs, and the Knicks thought they were fine after beating the Pistons and Celtics in the first two rounds. Behind a star-studded starting lineup and the leadership of Jalen Brunson, the Knicks won 51 games in the regular season, and the success translated well in the postseason until Game 1 this week.

After the Game 1 defeat against the Indiana Pacers all eyes are on Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks for Game 2.

Case in point: During an appearance on the Jumbotron at Yankee Stadium over the weekend, Towns was greeted with a thunderous reception, as fans of both the New York Yankees and New York Mets joined forces to applaud their center after a big playoff win.

Karl-Anthony Towns has certainly not shaken the “soft” characterization. Chris Bosh shared a similar style, and it worked out just fine for him.
