The Trump administration halted a program that promised Nevada $38 million to build faster, more efficient electric vehicle chargers along highways.

Revel landed a $60 million loan to build chargers in New York, and a group of automakers launched a push to build rest stop-style charging stations nationally.

It just got rockier. More than $104 million was allocated for new fast EV chargers in New Jersey via the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure, or NEVI, program. To date, the program has resulted in zero chargers for New Jersey.
