Helene's combination of storm surge and rain flooded parts of Collier, including Naples, Marco Island, Goodland, East Naples and Everglades City. The storm left roads unsafe and impassable on Thursday and Friday, across the county, worsened by shifting tides.

While Hurricane Helene did not claim any victims in Lee or Collier counties, both received an extensive number of Helene-related 911 calls.

Emergency Management is deploying Starlink units to fire departments that are still without data restoration. Shelters remain open at the Transylvania County Parks and Recreation Center and the Ag Center at the Asheville Airport.
