The Grizzlies acquired forward Cedric Coward, plus guards Javon Small and Jahmai Mashack in the 2025 NBA draft to help with those issues.

Portland has agreed to send the draft rights to No. 11 overall pick Cedric Coward to the Grizzlies, the teams announced Wednesday. The Blazers will receive the No. 16 overall pick Yang Hansen, a 2028 first-round pick via Orlando, a 2027 second-round pick (via Atlanta) and a 2028 second-round pick (via Sacramento) for Coward.

The Memphis Grizzlies, in a bid to land Cedric Coward, gave away their No. 16 pick and multiple future picks to the Portland Trail Blazers.
