The Mumbai police arrested one more suspect in connection with the murder of veteran Maharashtra politician Baba Siddique on Friday. The accused was arrested from Punjab’s Ludhiana in a joint operation by Mumbai and Punjab police.

Nine individuals accused in the assassination of NCP leader Baba Siddique appeared in court, leading to the extension of police custody for some suspects. One was remanded to Mumbai Crime Branch, while others faced judicial proceedings.

Teams of the Mumbai Police were actively searching in Haryana for the alleged mastermind of Siddique's murder. Till now, the crime branch has arrested a total of 15 accused of which 10 are in judicial custody.
