Multiple people were hospitalized in an early morning crash in western Idaho, at least one of whom is local. It happened Sunday around 5:15 a.m. on Interstate 84 south of New Plymouth, according to a news release from Idaho State Police.

PAYETTE, Idaho — A two-vehicle crash on I-84 sent three people to the hospital early Sunday, Jan. 26, blocking traffic for more than five hours, Idaho State Police (ISP) reported. The collision occurred at 5:15 a.m. near milepost 13 south of New Plymouth between an 18-year-old woman from Rexburg and a 52-year-old woman from Middleton.
