The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ordered a temporary ground stop for arrivals at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) following a shooting incident involving two National Guard members near the White House.

The ground stop was because of the locations of aircraft involved in responding to today’s shooting incident, according to the FAA.

The issue comes on one of the busiest travel days of the year as people fly to join their families ahead of Thanksgiving.
