A string of looting in Los Angeles plagued the city on Wednesday evening in the wake of the Dodgers’ World Series victory. According to posts on social media from the Los Angeles Police Department, “several businesses” were looted,

Rowdy crowds took to the streets of Los Angeles after the Dodgers won the World Series, setting a city bus on fire, breaking into stores and lighting off fireworks. Video showed revelers throwing objects at police in downtown LA as sirens blared and officers told them to leave the area late Wednesday after the Dodgers defeated the Yankees in Game 5 in New York.

The LAPD said they had received reports of "looting at several stores in the area of 8th and Broadway" and urged people to stay away from the area.

Several arrests were made in Los Angeles on Wednesday night in connection to the looting of stores following the Dodgers' victory over the New York Yankees in the 2024 MLB World Series. News of the incident was first reported by ABC News last night.
