In 1992, Duane Roberts bought the hotel from the city of Riverside, on May 4, news broke of the sale to the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation.

The tribe, so far, is not talking about the purchase price and renovation plans until the deal closes at the end of May.

"I have great confidence that Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation will carry this legacy forward with the same care, respect, and vision," said Kelly Roberts, soon-to-be former owner.

An agreement to purchase to the hotel property located at 3649 Mission Inn Avenue is expected to close as soon as this month.
