The Dallas Stars are on to Round 2. After taking down Colorado in seven games, the Stars will face the Winnipeg Jets to continue their Stanley Cup Playoff push. After splitting the first two games, the Stars took back control of the series with a Game 3 win on Mother’s Day in Dallas.

The Dallas Stars’ pursuit of a second Stanley Cup took another step forward on Sunday when they defeated the Winnipeg Jets 5-2. Dallas now leads the Jets two games to one in the second round of the playoffs. Sunday’s win was not without some drama though, with a third period score by the Stars’ Alexander Petrovic.

Stars coach Pete DeBoer says this is the best response team he has had in Dallas. They keep responding and now go into Game 4 at home with a chance for a 3-1 series lead against the top-seeded Winnipeg Jets in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs.
