Iran says the next round of negotiations over its rapidly advancing nuclear program it will have with the United States will be in Rome on Saturday.

Iran will hold nuclear talks in Rome on Friday with Britain, France and Germany, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Wednesday, with the aim of improving strained ties at a time of high-stakes nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington.

Iran and the United States held their first technical-level talks on Tehran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program Saturday, a more complex phase of their high-stakes negotiations. “The negotiations this round were much more serious than in the past,
