Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents are investigating an incident that began late Thursday night and reportedly resulted in police officers from Rocky Top, Campbell County and Jacksboro shooting at a fleeing, armed man who was eventually stopped by an Anderson County deputy on Interstate 75.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is investigating after an officer-involved shooting in Erwin, according to the bureau. A TBI spokesperson confirmed Saturday morning that agents responded overnight to Erwin at the request of First Judicial District Attorney General Steven Finney.

Chattanooga police officers shot a person on East Brainerd Road on Tuesday, according to officials. Officers responded to reports of someone threatening people with a knife at a restaurant in the 7700 block of East Brainerd Road at 12:18 p.m., police spokesperson Sgt. Victor Miller said by phone.

Police officers shot and killed one person in Middletown on Christmas Eve, according to our media partners WCPO-9 TV. The man shot and killed has been identified as 50-year-old Christopher Gorak, according to WCPO-9 TV.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into an officer-involved shooting that happened in Anderson County overnight.

An officer-involved shooting is under investigation in Grant County Indiana State Police, who have launched an investigation at the sheriff's department's request, said a sheriff's deputy and a Marion man were injured in the shooting.
