Amazon is preparing to launch its second batch of Project Kuiper internet satellites to orbit as it seeks to build out a constellation to take on SpaceX’s Starlink service.

The rocket and payload were stated to be in good condition. SpaceX has confirmed liftoff is targeted for now no earlier than 11:19 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20 from Cape Canaveral Launch Complex 40.

Less than a day after its last batch reached low Earth orbit, SpaceX again added to its Starlink megaconstellation on Friday, June 13, 2025.

The next launch could potentially take place as early as Tuesday, May 27 – the same day SpaceX is planning to fly its massive Starship rocket from the company's Starbase in South Texas.

Originally built to support the Apollo program, Space Launch Complex 37 will soon be converted to a Starship launch mount.
